Exercising In Lockdown
With all of the gyms, swimming pools, and sports clubs being closed in lockdown due to the coronavirus, it can be difficult to find a good place to workout while feeling motivated to do so.
That doesn’t mean the task is impossible. There are plenty of places where you can get your daily workout completed. Exercising in lockdown can be made easier than you think with these simple, quick tips.
Can I leave my home to exercise?
Following recent changes in the government’s restrictions, we can now use our time during lockdown to do as much exercise as necessary. Towards the beginning of lockdown, Boris Johnson announced we are only allowed homes once a day for exercise.
But, since then, the rules have changed and we can now exercise as often as we please. But you might be wondering, where can I exercise if the gyms are closed?
Ways and places to exercise in lockdown
When we are used to working out in an area designated to exactly that, it can be difficult to change the scene and switch up the location to somewhere new. But, with exercise being essential, it is something which is important in our everyday lives.
Walking or Running
The likelihood of there being a spot for you to exercise near your home is high. Whether it be a road nearby or even a forest, there will always be a place for you.
The great thing about working out outdoors in Lockdown is that there is always a way to keep the required 2m distance away from people. Especially now that we can meet in small groups, the 2m rule fits in quite nicely if you’re someone who enjoys walking or running with friends or family.
As the days go on, working out in the same area could even bring excitement. for example, you could set your self a daily goal to do that walk or run faster than you did the previous day. Along with this, you could try out routes you have never taken before.
There are plenty of online classes that you can join. These could be from Youtube or even from a specific personal trainer. One of the most common ways people have chosen to work out is by using videos on YouTube.
This is because they are just like having someone there in front of you challenging you and telling you exactly what to do. This way, you are able to work out from the comfort of your own home.

Yoga is a perfect way to allow us to keep calm during lockdown. A number of studies have shown that yoga helps to reduce stress and anxiety. As expected people might be feeling this a little more than usual during this time.
The great thing about yoga is that it can be done from anywhere, whether that be inside or outside. You can try yoga using your knowledge, books, or even videos online.
Despite there being plenty of free things to do, doing exercise can actually cost you money.
For example, although you don’t necessarily have to always look the part, you might want to invest in the right equipment like running shoes for running, or a new or used bike that is more suited to you, etc.
These items cost money and are worth it if you are looking to get/stay fit, but if you find yourself a little low on cash, until payday, consider LoanPig for a quick and easy payday loan to get you through to the end of the month
